Policies & Expectations
Young Dancer Training Program (YDTP) is an open school that welcomes students of all ages. Students with previous training may enroll at any time during the year. School policy is to evaluate incoming young students who are ages eight and up (Ballet II and up) and assign class levels. Class placement is at the discretion of the School Director.
Students are expected to attend every class and to arrive on time. Should a dancer arrive late to class, class participation is at the discretion of the RPSD faculty. Progress in class depends upon the student’s regular attendance and consistent class participation. Students are allowed to make up classes within the current term. RPSD should be notified in advance of a class absence.
Parents and visitors are invited to observe classes during observation weeks only.
Ruth Page School of Dance reserves the right to cancel a class due to low enrollment.
Ruth Page School of Dance reserves the right to suspend or dismiss any student for unsatisfactory attendance or conduct.
